Kerala with Kolukkumalai (Cochin – Munnar – Bodimettu – Periyar – Kumarakom -Alleppey – Cochin)

Arrival at Cochin airport. You are greeted on arrival at Cochin Airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon (if you have time) city tour in Cochin visiting Fort Cochin Jewish synagogue, Dutch Palace, Jew Town, st. Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets etc. Overnight stay at hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Munnar. On arrival at Munnar, check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is to be spent relaxing in your room.

In the evening get down from your hotel for a leisurely walk to explore the nearby areas. Enjoy a comfortable night stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, drive towards the sightseeing tour of Munnar. The major tourist hotspots to be covered include the Atukkad Waterfalls, Chithirapuram, Blossom Park and Pothamedu View Point. Also enjoy an excursion to Eravikulam national park, another major tourist attraction, where one can find the endangered species of Nilgiri Tahr. In the evening visit to explore the Rajamala Hills. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After Breakfast drive to Bodi Mettu. Arrive Bodimettu and check in to hotel, Shola Crown is a luxury boutique resort located in Bodimettu, the outskirts of Munnar. Mist soaked mountains, sun kissed valleys, windows knocked-at by the clouds every moment, virgin forests, chilling refreshing waterfalls – all necessarily away from the busy citie. After noon proceed for Cardamom farm visit – is a farm trip through the cardamom hills of bodi. In cardamom farm visit you can see different species of cardamom and cultivation techniques. Cardamom farm visit also involves visiting two types of cardamom driers i.e mordern and traditional. Cardamom Farm visit is an easy trek of nearly 4 Kms . Overnight stay will be arranged in hotel.

After breakfast proceed for Kolukkumalai Safari And Tea Factory Visit. Kolukkumalai is the highest tea plantation in the world. Kolukkumalai trip is a pure off road jeep safari of 14 KMs through Kolukkumalai tea gardens. Visit sunrise point called singapara ( Lion – Face ) and then highest oraganic tea factory in the world, which was built around 1930’s by the British. This tea factory is still Fucntional and can get a chance to see how tea is processed by orthodox method. Kolukkumalai is know for its picturesque sunrise and this tea factory. Guest can buy Kolukkumalai Tea from factory outlet which is not available in local market as they export Kolukkumalai tea rather than selling it locally. Later in the evening Proceed for Shola Sunset trip, it is a blend of jeep safari ( 4×4 ) through lush green cardamom forest and a medium difficult trek uphill to see a slendid susrise and sun set . Overnight stay is arranged at hotel

After breakfast drive to Thekkady. during your drive to Thekkady enjoy the drive as the road winds through the thick jungles and rich plantation. Arrive Thekkady and check-in the hotel. In the afternoon proceed to Periyar Wildlife Tiger Reserve to enjoy the jeep safari. Periyar is a veritable paradise of elephants. Scores of them can be witnessed bathing and swimming here. Later in the evening you may enjoy boat ride at Periyar Lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast at hotel drive to Kumarakom. The place known as a paradise for bird watchers. On reaching Kumarakom visit to bird sanctuary. After bird watching drive hotel and check-in the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. You may indulge in water sports like water skiing and wind sailing. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast drive to Alleppey in a houseboat for an overnight cruise. The Kerala backwaters have been known for their mesmerizing and alluring charms spread across the whole area. While cruising along the backwater feast your eyes with lush green padded fields, palm fringed coastal lines and enjoy the majestic scenery. Enjoy an overnight stay on the houseboat.

After breakfast at the boat drive to Cochin/Arrive Cochin and transfer to the airport for your flight to next destination.
