Welcome at the Delhi airport by our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast half day city tour of old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat and India Gate. In the afternoon, transfer to the station for the Jaisalmer train. Overnight on the train. (In 1st class air-conditioned berth)
Arrival at Jaisalmer station at 11:15 am, transfer and check-in formalities at the hotel.
In the late afternoon, drive to the village of Sam Dune for the desert safari. The camel safari. After the safari, return to the Hotel. Night at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit the citadel renowned for its famous temples and palaces of yellow sand. Visit the Fort, Manak Chowk, Patwon ki haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, Lake Gadisar. Night at the hotel.
After breakfast, departure for Jodhpur. Arrival in the blue city and check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon: visit the Mehrangarh Fort, a group of majestic palaces. Then visit the marble cenotaph, Jaswant Thada, built in 1899 by Maharajah Jaswant Singh II. Night at the hotel.
After breakfast, continue to Rawal Jojawar. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, train safari, one of the main attractions in Jojawar. This train ride takes you through the different landscapes of the Aravalli mountains through tunnels and bridges overlooking the majestic lake and the surrounding forest. Then safari to meet the neighboring tribes where you can observe the rich rural culture of Rajasthan. Night at the hotel.
Departure early in the morning for Udaipur via Kumbhalgarh, visit of the fort of Kumbalgarh built in the XVIth century by a warrior king, architect and artist. Visit the sovereign’s apartments. From a terrace, overlooking the Aravalis chain. After the visit, continue to Udaipur and check in at the Hotel. In the evening, departure for the traditional show (traditional dances). After the show, return to the hotel. Night at the hotel.
Visit of the city, nicknamed the “Venice of the East”: the white city, the most romantic of Rajasthan. No mighty citadel, but the calm of a garden city reflected in the waters of the lakes with the Arawali range. Visit the Shahelion-Ki-Bari palace and gardens. Overlooking the lake: the City Palace with a length of 500 m is a huge maze of halls, lounges, courtyards, gardens and terraces. Today a part is transformed into a museum, another into a hotel and the last is inhabited by the descendants of the Maharajah. From the Palace, magnificent view of Lake Pichola and its two islands, including that of the famous Lake Palace. Boat trip and visit the island of Jag Mandir, the other palace island. Late afternoon boat trip to watch the sunset on Lake Pichola. Night at the hotel.
After breakfast, you take the road towards Bundi. Enroute visit Fort Chittorgarh, it is an ancient capital of the Sisodia clan of the Rajputs of Mewar (Kingdom of Udaipur) Chittorgarh represents the essence of the Chattari spirit, the upper caste of the Rajputs: pride, romanticism and panache, since the inhabitants of Chittor always chose to die rather than surrender to anyone. His story of heroism and sacrifice still resonates today in the songs of the bards of Rajasthan. Its enormous ruined citadel is a symbol of the courage and nobility of Rajput traditions, as well as of the desire of India as a whole for freedom. After the visit, drive towards Bundi. Bûndî is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan with 93,258 inhabitants at the last census (2011). It is also known to have been the city where Rudyard Kipling wrote his novel The Jungle Book. On the same territory, a state had been created in 1342 by Râo Deva, a descendant of Râo Visaladeva, king of Ajmer. Bûndî was the capital of a small Rajput state bearing the same name. The city was founded around 1342 and it retained its independence until it was taken by Akbar. It then passes under the control of the Holkar marathes at the fall of the Mughals. In 1818, the Râja de Bûndi formed an alliance with the English East India Company and enjoyed the British protectorate until independence. They did not cease to reign until 1949 and their state was integrated into the state of Rajasthan. Bûndî was the seat of a school of painting which was formed in the 17th century, specializing in miniatures and murals. Possibility to visit the fortress, the palace and Raniji ki Baori. After the return visit and overnight at the hotel.
After the visit, drive towards Jaipur. Enroute, visit to Saganer, Visit to Sanganer of a workshop for making blue pottery and handmade paper. After the visit, continue to Jaipur, the pink city. Arriving in Jaipur, check in at the hotel. Walking tour of the lively old pink city: the City Palace, the Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds, and the different bazaars, each with its own specialty. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Early in the morning, visit the ancient capital, Amber. Dedicated to the discovery of Amber Fort with the ascent on the back of an elephant led by a turbaned mahout to the top of the ramparts. Visit the Palace and Temple of Kali, where a religious ceremony takes place every morning. Afternoon devoted to visiting the Palace of the Maharajah, today still inhabited by the royal family and part of which serves as a museum, the Rawal Mahal or Palace of the Winds and its finely sculpted facade intended to protect the beauty of the women of prying eyes, and magnificent Maharaja Jai Singh II astronomical observatory worthy of a Jules Verne novel! Afternoon in Jaipur to stroll from the astronomical observatory to the palace with its succession of courtyards and pavilions, with fine collections of weapons and miniatures. Night at the hotel.
Morning after breakfast, departure for Bharatpur, bird sanctuary. Arrival in Bharatpur, installation at the hotel. Visit the bird park. Your expert guide will lead you and help you recognize the different species of birds. Return and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, departure by road to Fatepur Sikri, the former Mughal capital under Akbar built in the 16th, but today a dead city of pink sandstone. It is the example of a city at the height of the splendor of the empire, in perfect state of conservation. Arrival at the end of the afternoon in Agra and installation at the Hotel. Then visit the Taj Mahal, a Mughal monument built by the emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his late wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth of her fourteenth child. Magnificent work of love in white marble whose construction lasted 22 years. Inside you can admire the finesse of the sculpture work and in particular, the principle of “pietra dura”, a specific technique for inlaying precious and semi-precious stones. Visit the red fort whose red sandstone walls stretch for 2 km. Night at the hotel.
